Unlike the Museum fees, such as admission or train ride tickets which go directly to the State of Nevada General Fund, your donations to the Friends provide funding directly to the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Carson City for continuing maintenance and expansion. Your donation will contribute greatly to assuring that Nevada's rich railroad heritage and pioneer spirit will continue to be preserved.

Since the Friends are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, as provided by the United States Internal Revenue Service and the laws of the State of Nevada, donations may qualify as a charitable deduction for tax purposes, but you will need to consult your tax advisers or the IRS to determine the extent.
